How do you cut out the middle? Usually it seems medallions have center hole for accommodating the chandelier.

By |2020-10-23T08:56:49-04:00October 23rd, 2020|Categories: |

Just choose the diameter of the hole that you want to cut (3" recommended) enough to connect your wiring and hang your light fixture or ceiling fan, then after finding the exact center point in your medallion, use a tool called hole saw that can be easily found in a local store to drill the hole.

Can I use a chandelier canopy in medallions with designs in center area leaving no space for it?

Some medallions are not appropriate for canopies, in this type of medallions is recommended not to use a canopy, just drill a hole the light fixture chain diameter and leave the medallion decorative center to work as your chain base or canopy if you want.

How could COVID-19 impact my order?

By |2020-07-15T15:53:52-04:00July 15th, 2020|Categories: |

How could COVID-19 impact my order? PartsTree is open and working hard to support all of our customers. We have in place several CDC recommended practices necessary to minimize the spread of the virus, including social distancing, work-from-home, frequent handwashing, face masks, and gloves when appropriate. The CDC has suggested that packages shipped over a period of days in non-climate controlled conditions are a very unlikely source of infection. However, if you wish to undertake additional safety precautions, please feel free to leave your PartsTree package in your garage for a day prior to opening. US Customers: Given the safety measures undertaken in our warehouse and UPS/FedEx/USPS delays on incoming and outgoing packages to/from our warehouse, you may experience a 1-2 day delay in receiving your package from us. For example, if Joe in Florida usually gets his PartsTree order via UPS Ground in 3 days, it might take 5 days during the pandemic. PartsTree will do our very best to get in-stock orders picked, packed, and out the door within one business day... unfortunately we can't control how long it takes UPS/FedEx/USPS to get it to your doorstep. Thank you for your patience and support. Your health and safety, and that of our employees, are our top priorities. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Due to increased call volumes during this time, you could experience longer than normal wait times. If you would prefer to communicate with us via email, please send your message via the Contact Us form. Again thank you, and please stay safe!

Can I cover popcorn ceiling with your ceiling tiles?

By |2019-07-10T08:43:04-04:00July 10th, 2019|Categories: |

Yes, but be careful about two things. Make sure that your popcorn ceiling is stable. If you touch it and it starts falling down, it will not work and it has to be scraped off the ceiling. Check for Asbestos. Find more details on this topic on our How to Cover a Popcorn Ceiling Page.

Our Styrofoam ceiling tiles, that are not painted weigh only about 1 oz each.  So yes, they are very light and will not put much stress on the ceiling.  Our hand painted Styrofoam ceiling tiles are only about 3 oz each and also very light.

Are indeed your ceiling tiles fully hand painted, usually many are contained in one single order, do you really paint one by one?

By |2018-12-01T15:53:22-05:00December 1st, 2018|Categories: |

Not only ceiling tiles, but all of our products are fully hand painted, even if thousands are ordered, we indeed paint one by one as a single piece, every product is considered a piece of art and worked like that, once in your hands you'll have the physical proof of it.

I need to buy column capitals and bases, and I have my own shafts, how can I calculate measurements?

By |2018-12-01T15:13:03-05:00December 1st, 2018|Categories: |

We, of course, provide column capitals and bases as separated products, but we cannot guaranteed fitting on other shafts, including your own, there are several reasons, and one of them is the diameter, usually all these products comes 3/8 in. smaller than factory measurements, and secondly, all our hand painted columns are tapered, it means that the shaft top diameter is smaller than center or bottom, beside there's an assembly point on shaft top with no exact diameter at all.
