Our Styrofoam ceiling tiles, that are not painted weigh only about 1 oz each. So yes, they are very light and will not put much stress on the ceiling. Our hand painted Styrofoam ceiling tiles are only about 3 oz each and also very light.
Styrofoam Ceiling Tiles are 19 5/8 x 19 5/8 squares and the thickness is about 1/4 of an inch including the design. The square footage of each tile is about 2.69 sq.ft.
