Ceiling Medallions Center Hole Cutting
Most of our ceiling medallions come with a center hole from the factory, but some don’t. That is why we offer the option of cutting the center hole for you as a free service. Most customers don’t choose this option and cut them at the installation moment (recommended if you have a professional installer).
The only condition we have if this option is chosen is that the medallion is non-returnable, as it won’t be in resellable condition afterwards.
Available Hole Diameters
You can choose the option of cutting the center hole in the product page, we offer seven hole diameters:
- 1/2 in. (Recommended when only running a chain through the hole).
- 1 in. (Recommended when only running a chain through the hole).
- 1-1/2 in. (Recommended for small canopies).
- 2 in. (Recommended for small canopies).
- 2-1/2 in. (Recommended for small canopies).
- 3 in. (Recommended for canopies slightly over 3 in. diameter).
- 4 in. (Recommended for large canopies over 4 in. diameter).

By using professional tools, we find the exact center before cutting the hole.

We use a professional center cutter to get a very sharp cut.

A precise and sharp hole is cut right in the very center of the medallion.
Two Pieces Option
We offer the option of two pieces on our ceiling medallions. Sometimes it is very difficult to remove heavy chandeliers or light fixtures that are already installed; in this case, it is more convenient to buy the ceiling medallion in two pieces and install it around it. The tier comes very smooth from the factory, but a touch-up is required.
